Our district has enthusiastic and energetic leaders. Many adult members are current or former UBC students and staff, former Guiding members, community members, and parents of youth members. Some leaders are new to Guiding, while others have been involved since they were kids. We are always looking for new leaders, and training is available.
Groups meet weekly from September to June. Leaders work together, bringing their own strengths and interests to the group. Have a passion for camping or rugby? Baking or science? Music or making hats for the homeless? Everything enhances youth experiences and skills.
Information about different age groups and activities: https://www.girlguides.ca
(at the bottom of the main page under "Branches")
The online application form is available at girlguides.ca.
You must also complete an online police record check through BackCheck.
Getting involved with Girl Guides is an opportunity to make a difference in girls' and youths' lives, as well as being personally rewarding!
