Guides from all four units got together for a fantastic evening on January 8th. It's magical to see the Aquarium after hours, when the visitors have gone home and many animal inhabitants become more active. Of course, all those late-night activities mean that the girls can be a bit sleepier than usual on Saturday morning - but it's worth it!

West Point Grey has plenty of opportunities for older girls - our Pathfinder and Ranger units are large and busy having fun. Whether it's exploring diverse interests and skills at weekly meetings, developing 'delicious' recipes on campstoves, or rafting down a river, there is something for everyone. Some Rangers want to develop their leadership skills and work with younger girls. We have Ranger girl assistants in every Spark and Brownie unit, as well as in 2 of our 4 Guide units. Several Guides also help with Sparks, so there's a strong service ethic developing in our community. The units got off to an exciting start in September - check out a small sample of the good times, with much more coming up! Medieval-themed ceremony at laser tag enrolment UBC's Engineering Department is offering a wide variety of open houses, tours, workshops, and camps. If your daughter - or niece or granddaughter - likes to figure out how things work and create new stuff, put these dates on your calendar! Brothers (and other boys) are welcome too.
