The girls and leaders in our District love to get outside and go camping! Whether it's Holiday Camp for Pathfinders and Rangers in December, complete with snowy adventures on Grouse Mountain, or the upcoming District Brownie Thinking Day Camp at Camp Olave (January 13-15), an important part of Guiding is developing camping skills and friendships.
All this activity requires plenty of gear, especially for tent camping. We have to provide shelters, tents, camp stoves, lanterns, cooking implements, and other equipment. We have ropes and sticks for making gadgets, large water jugs, fire buckets, flags, tarps, compasses, ....
As the District has grown, so has the challenge of maintaining and storing our equipment. Take a look at our old locker:

Looks a little overcrowded, right? In fact, we had to pull out unneeded equipment just to access the right gear. Every trip took longer than planned.
