The days were jam-packed, starting with Pathfinders and Rangers kayaking before breakfast - thanks to two very accommodating lifeguards. The girls did archery, made soap, tried aboriginal drumming, made bannock over a fire, hiked, did slip and slide, and much more. The Pathfinders and Rangers were even the first group on the new low ropes course that just opened at camp.
With such a busy schedule, the Sparks and Brownies had a bit of down-time on Saturday afternoon, while the Guides went kayaking. The fun continued into the evening, with a traditional campfire after dinner and then night games for the older girls.
The weekend goes by quickly, since we spend Friday afternoon and evening travelling and settling in, and Sunday is spent packing up and getting back to Vancouver. Heavy traffic caused several of the buses to arrive back a little later, but we were all in one piece and ready to greet parents with Mother's Day presents made at camp!
